We're only a small group, but right from the very beginning we wanted to be involved in global justice issues. We see this involvement (not only globally, but also locally) as a necessary outworking of our attempt to follow the way of Christ.
We always try to be relationally connected with those we are working with because of the way these kinds of connections foster reciprocity, i.e., sometimes we have something to give to others and sometimes others have something to give to us.
Because of obvious factors, our global involvement has so far been limited to being informed and to giving financially. We are though starting to think through the possibility of maybe taking a trip to one of the regions in order to meet some of the people and to learn more of their way of life.
We love the work of World Hope Australia and so far we have supported a number of their projects. One of the reasons we support World Hope is that, wherever possible, they work through networks of trusted people who are involved at a grass roots level in their own communities.
